Rt.Hon (Elder) Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori (JP) - The Governor

was born on the 19th of June 1963 to the reputable family of Chief Samuel and Mrs Esther Oborevwori of blessed memory. A native of Osubi in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria; a thriving town famous for its socio-economic appeal as the airport hub of the twin cities of Warri and Effurun.

Governor Oborevwori had witnessed interesting metamorphosis as a child, youth ,student, businessman, community leader, philanthropist, administrator and politician.

As Governor, I am committed to building a Delta State that works for all. Through innovative programs and policies, we are promoting socio-economic development, improving healthcare delivery, and empowering youth and women. These initiatives are just the beginning, and I am excited about what we can achieve together.

Delta State is an oil and agricultural producing state in Nigeria. It is situated in the region known as the South-South geo-political zone and bordered on the north by Edo State, the east by Anambra and Rivers States, and the south by Bayelsa State while to the west is the Bight of Benin which covers about 160 kilometres of the state’s coastline.
